IT’S CRUNCH TIME!
Posted in Sandi Jordan
The national Beauties of America Pageant is only four weeks away! I am so excited!
So far, slowly but surely, I have dropped one size, and with four weeks to go I know I can drop at least one more! I have been so busy with pageant preparations, as well as working with two of my kids making college preparations. Along with all the other daily jobs! But I just keep my packs from the 5and1 plan, and my shaker, with me at all times and no matter where I am, I just need a bottle of water! It has been so convenient!
Hope you are having a great summer!

Running a 5K
Posted in Sandi Jordan
Yes, I did!
Medifast has helped and encouraged me to get in shape and prepare for the Baltimore Women’s Classic 5K Run! I have been doing the Medifast 5 and 1 plan, and getting outside to run consistently. This past weekend, my daughter and I ran the 5K, which is “dedicated to promoting fitness and healthy living among all women, while increasing awareness of women’s health issues.”
I felt great being part of such a worthy cause and being able to complete the run! Not only does dropping a few pounds make you look better, but it’s great for your heart and your over all life! It may not be easy, but your body and your family will thank you for it! Having five children, I want to be a positive role model for them on the importance of taking care of yourself.
Get out and enjoy the day!

Wow!

Wow! Well where do I begin?
It has been a bit, my Medifast Friends since I last checked in.
I have been very busy with all kinds of things in my life. I have been running around SO MUCH that I have practically been on an all Medifast Ready-to-Drink Shake plan. It’s very helpful when you are traveling so much or even running around in your own town. Also, keeping really busy helps keeps your focus off of obsessing about food. Sometimes people get obsessed and think about it too much when they are not busy enough. So STAY BUSY!
I have been doing the treadmill a lot. I like it because I am able to control exactly how much exercise I got done in one day. Very important to keep track and very important to exercise….just walk or run or do a little of both, but just do it! LOL
Are you all stressed about summer and swim suits? It’s so funny how everyone gets when summer comes around. The key is to stay in shape all year round and then you won’t be stuck having to get fit for summer. But if you want to lose a few pounds right away, get those Medifast Flavor Infusers™, they are amazing!! They really do the trick! The best part is you don’t get shaky from them like lots of those boosters out on the market. Momentum is just fabulous, and it works!
I am looking forward to this summer and keeping my weight at a healthy place and keeping fit.
Talk to you soon!
xoxo Kristy

Lost 30 Pounds On Medifast & Back on Track!
Posted in Brett Calbick
Well it took forever to get back into the swing of things and ridding myself of some bad habits, but I have finally done away with the first 30lbs…again! It had been battle 1-2lbs at a time for the last couple of weeks and finally this morning I weighed in at 320 bringing my total loss back down after my long dosing of medication for my asthma.
I made two more critical changes that I hope are permanent over the weekend. I have given up drinking Alcohol and Caffeine. Alcohol is to be avoided on the Medifast Program and caffeine is allowed in limitation. Both were contributing in their own ways to my slow weight loss and overall unhealthy life style. I haven’t spoken too much about either but I have been a long time drinker and caffeine junkie. Even though I have been drinking diet soda for a couple of years now, the consumption of it seems to slow my weight loss dramatically. The alcohol obviously does the same thing.
I won’t lie, it was a rough weekend. I drank with friends on Friday night knowing that it would be the last time for a while or perhaps ever, so I had a bit too much. The next day while I was feeling gross, I decided to give up on caffeine as well. After all, why waste a whole Saturday and then be miserable on another day too? The absence of caffeine led to a late day migraine which was indescribably painful and blinding. But, I powered through it and this morning I can assure you that even though I have had little sleep (due to sick child) I’m up and moving without the assistance of caffeine.
I’m feeling better overall about my weight loss, my health and my general outlook. It is just a couple of more roadblocks to a healthy life and I feel as if more weight has been lifted. Today is a good day!

IT’S MY BIRTHDAY!
Posted in Sandi Jordan
And for my birthday gift from my wild and crazy husband, he took me up 10,000 feet in an airplane and made me jump! It was quite exhilarating, but I don’t think I’ll be making a hobby of it!
Then we went to Gettysburg to have dinner. If I know ahead of time, I can plan to make the meal out my Lean & Green. But I tell you, it sure is easy to get distracted! Everything centers on the eats! Holidays, birthdays, and now we have high school graduation parties! Just have to keep focused and stick to the Medifast Plan! Luckily with Medifast the convenience of the program makes it so much easier to plan your meals and fit them into a busy day.
