Brett--way to go my friend. I have been on the diet for 5 weeks and have lost 38 pounds. Of course I had a lot to lose...started out over 300 pounds. I had to learn that I did not have to eat till I felt full. Through this program I have gotten into the habit of eating until I do not feel hungry. I was always one who ate until it was gone!

This is a wonderful lifestyle change for me. I hope that it works the same for you.

Not a problem, always happy to share some life experiences with folks who are struggling with the same things!

OMG, that's it! I've got to get started on something. I have a lot to do but it's not anything that I want to do! Well, now I have more motivation to do it. I see my teenage son doing the same thing - maybe he can learn a good habit now. Thanks for explaining that link to me.

I know from another program (nothing to do with weight) that there is certainly a link between ADHD and weight gain for some people. Do you find yourself constantly looking for something to do, constantly needing stimulation and then finding food to fill that need? I certainly do. If I get bored or frustrated by boredom I typically go to the fridge for comfort.

The trick I am finding is occupying your time to a point where you may be over welmed with things to do. This fills the need for brain stimulation without killing your waistline.

I am just starting on this program and found your blog. It is so encouraging to read about other people facing the same struggles and know you're not alone. I also have ADHD and I was wondering how you feel that is a contributing factor to obesity. I can't make the connection - for years, I felt I should be skinny because I'm so hyper!
