Fourth of July Lean & Green!

The beauty of Medifast is that you don’t have to deprive yourself at a BBQ if you plan ahead! I plan on having a nice grilled chicken breast all wrapped up in a few romaine lettuce leaves, a few dill pickles, and a drizzle of mustard with steamed veggies on the side. Talk about fireworks in your mouth - YUMMY! This way I feel like I have a bun but it’s lettuce :) AND I don’t add to my own buns LOL! You can even do this with a nice lean ground beef patty, I am telling you it’s delicious and very filling. Medifast even allows a little ketchup if you don’t care for mustard.

I hope everyone has a happy and healthy 4th of July! This can be YOUR own Independence Day - your new skinny life awaits you with Medifast!

Repeat after me… “I am worth it and I can do this! Nothing tastes as good as thin feels!”

Take care!

Hi

I am thinking of doing the Medifast program but am scared. I need to lose about 30 pounds - I really need to do this so I can see my grandson grow up. I know 30 lbs isn’t a lot but it is to me. Can you give me some in sight? Thanks

Dear Darlene, You sound ready to become healthy, give Medifast a try! It really is a great program, not a miracle overnight solution but if you stick to it you will see great results! 30 lbs is a lot of weight to get rid of but millions have done it. Read the success stories and get inspired to order. Some people have lost up to 20 lbs in a month, this could be you :) The first 2 weeks were hard for me because its like a detox from carbs and sugar, but once you get through that your craving end and you see the lbs come off. Don’t be scared, whats even more scary is continuing to gain more weight and feeling miserable. Let me know how you are doing, jump in baby!

Hi Darlene, I too need to lose weight. I have just signed on to take this challenge and get healthy. I truly hope that this works for me. I have tried so many diets, I’m going crazy. I have about 60 pounds to lose to get to my ideal weight. Right now, I would settle for half of that. I know how you feel and how hard it is to find the ideal diet. I’ll let you know how it goes for me.

I completely agree; you need to give yourself some time to detox for carbs and sugar and fast food, but ones you make it through that period, you will be able to meet your goals.

Hi everyone,

Julie this is Kathy (I responded to some of your blogs on the “Back from Mexico” entry) updating you on my progress. Well it is coming up on week 6 and I have lost 11 pounds (My Husband is at 23 lbs) and I’m hoping it will be 12 (that would put me at the 2 lbs a week average). So I’m happy with my loss. I’ve started power walking and I find that I still have great energy from this diet. In fact starting the walking has really helped me stay focused on my diet because I don’t feel as hungry. The great thing about this diet if you really stick to the every 2 1/2 hour rule your body never has the chance to crave. I love the simplicity of medifast and know that I will be where I want to be easily at the 6 month mark. By the way ladies my goal is to lose 50 lbs, but I’m going for 60 - damn I will be so friggin’ hot watch out.

keep on keeping on,

Julie,
I am from Oregon also. Your story (I read it from beginning to end) was a little more personal to me because of that. Your last entry was in July, I am wondering how you are doing? If you’re still on track and how you plan to conquer the blues this nasty weather we are having tends to bring on? I hope you are well and I would love to hear from you.

Hi Jenny! I have been off of this site for a while, I come back now and then. I have been doing well but gained back 15 lbs :( I had a bad bout with anxiety, court with ex husband, moved and had to have a surgery all within the last year. What does Julie do when she is sad?…. she eats! I am going back on Medifast next week. How are you doing? I am so flattered that you read my story!! I hope to hear from you soon! I will be updating my blog too :) Take care!

Julie,

I just made the choice to loose the weight and get healthy. I will be 40 in April and really want to get healthy!

I too eat food for comfort or not eat at all! That is the yo-yo thing I do.

I can’t wait for my medifast to arrive! so I can get started.

I hope to read that you are doing well and back on track!

Take Care,
jamie

I’ve never replied to a blog before and don’t know why Ichose your name to read but it was so nice to read about another woman having done what I’m starting to do. My husband and I have been on Medifast about 3 weeks. lost 10 lbs and now he’s gained 1 back and I have gained .5lb. I tell you it’s discourging! I have been having trouble withe wooziness. Been better the last few days. I started taking a vitamin and sometimes eat around 4 almonds. Is that a good idea? I also thought I’d add soy protien pwd. to my 55 shakes and get the 70 shakes next time. I know reaching platous is normal and I’m gonna start excersizing today but it’s still discourging. Some of the days we don’t loose as much I think it may be season salt which made our catfish last night heaven! I was trying to make blackened catfish but didn’t have “blackened seasoning” So I used creole, alittle spray olive oil and fried the catfish fillets. Is that on the plan?
