A day in my life

5:55 - turn off first alarm

6:26 - turn off 4th alarm

6:47 - open one eye and walk to the bathroom for a shower

6:48 - open other eye

7:00 – 7:20 - let dogs out, pick out an outfit, blow-dry hair, brew a cup of coffee

7:20 - get a travel mug and mix a half cup water and Medifast Cappuccino pop in the microwave

7:21 - let dogs back in and give them treats

7:22 - add the coffee I made and 2 equals to my Medifast Cappuccino

7:23 - in the rush to my car throw the newspaper up on the porch (that counts as exercise right?)

7:23 - 8:25 - enjoy my latte-esk coffee and try not to think about wasting an entire hour in my car

8:30 - get to work, join the morning huddle with the hotel staff

8:45 - tell Linda, the little hotel chef that thinks I’m too skinny, that I do not want a Belgian waffle with walnuts and blueberries (just typing it makes me long for the days when I would eat one with reckless abandon)

8:46 – 9:12 - review hotel performance from last night and get caught up on the crazy hotel gossip mill

9:12 - turn down Linda’s 2nd offer for a calorific breakfast sandwich

9:30 - cover the hotel front desk for clerk so that he can eat a stack of Linda’s French toast

9:45 - make a mug of Medifast blueberry oatmeal and put in the microwave

9:46 - drive a guest to the airport because he did not get his wake up call and missed his shuttle

10:24 - reheat oatmeal that I left in the microwave

10:25 - 11:00 - process timecards and enter payroll (enjoy oatmeal)

11:00 - 11:45 - go to a guest room to help a ‘not so computer’ savvy guest connect to the internet

11:46 - think to myself “I have to go to the bathroom”

11:47 - put Medifast Chicken and Wild Rice soup in the microwave and start off towards the bathroom.

11:48 - In route to the bathroom notice a light out in the lobby – go call engineering to have it fixed, answer a ringing phone at the front desk.  Give a guest driving directions to the hotel. Notice a line of people forming at the desk and assisting the clerk.

12:35 - Linda brings me my re-heated Chicken and Wild Rice soup

1:05 - remember that I had to go to the bathroom – ignore everyone that I pass on my way to the bathroom so that I don’t get pulled away again.

1:10 – 4:00 - accounts payable, accounts billable, associate coaching and counseling, inspect sleeping rooms to make sure that they are cleaned well, conduct 3 interviews for new employees

4:05 - put a Medifast Oatmeal Raisin bar in the microwave for 10 seconds.  Explain to anyone who sees me eating my bar why I am eating it with a fork and knife – it’s melty.

4:10 – 7:00 - Welcome guest to the hotel and help the front desk clerks with any issues.

7-ish - Head home – reach into the back seat and pull out a bag of soy crisps to munch on

8-something - Time for dinner – Start with a mixed greens salad, sprinkle 10 sunflower seeds and 2 green olives, add pre-cooked chicken pieces and top with 2 tablespoons of Kens Lite Northern Italian dressing.

9:30 - wind down while watch TV and enjoying a bowl of Medifast chocolate pudding.

11:00 - let the dogs out and in, then head to bed and try not to think about what I didn’t get done today or have to do tomorrow.

Good morning Heather,
Well, it’s AM here in WA state-Your messages made me place my order today! I’m so excited, I have done every diet fad out there-was even considering the Lapband procedure.. I know there is something out there for a stay @ home mom (son just turned 1 yr)who stays busy and does CURVES 3 x’s a wk!!! I currently weigh 260 and was 155 when I got pregnant…WOW-I gained alot! It’s time to shed this disgusting fat and start getting my life back! It has put alot of stress on my life in general-with the husband, my two oldest children, my friends…etc!! Do you have any excerise programs that you do other than doing your busy hotel work day after day? I have a new ex. bike in my living rm-and I walk our local park every other evening with the little one for about an hr or two (2-3 miles) IT JUST DOESNT SEEM TO BE COMING OFF!! I’m in need of much help-and am hoping that this diet works… Thanks a bunch, Maranda

I also gained alot during pregnancy. However, my son is 15 years old. When I got pregnant with him I weighed 98 pounds, and although that sounds skinny I was very athletic and only 5 foot tall. My ideal weight is 105-110. I now weight 220. Yes, 220 on a 5 foot body! I am thinking of going on this plan, I have probably tried 50 diets, and none have worked. I need some serious intervention! I only like MEAT and no Veggies or Fruit. Thats what hurts. So I don’t know what to do, I am going to try the sample products and see if it is something that I can manage to get down.

Heather - I read your medifast diary and was interested. The pre-cooked chicken that you put in your salad–is that from medifast or grocery store? How long have you been doing the program? I am desperate to lose weight, feel better about myself, have more energy etc. but my track record for sticking to a diet or meal plan really stinks!
What keeps you going? How long have you been doing medifast? Any other thought, comments or hopeful words? Thanks for taking the time………..

Thanks Heather for a realistic view of life and how you use the program. I see myself much the same way both at home and work. Keep up the good work.

Wish me luck! I just placed my order.

Heather,
I am placing my order on Monday. My friend has been using the medifast program for 3 months and has lost 56lbs. I am so excited about starting. I am 30 yrs old and have 3 girls…oldest one is 8,6 and 5 months. I currently weigh a wopping 175 and have been that way for over 8yrs now. I have been on atkins and south beach everything but I know that this will work for me because my friend is proof.Maybe I can be a success story as well. Cant wait to see the results and I will keep u updated.

You made me laugh so much with your daily wake up routine, specially the alarm #4. I hate alarms. I end up waking up before them. Thanks for sharing I am planning to start the program, but I am going to consult the doctor first. How are you doing after all these months? I notice you posted your note on April. How much have you lost? Are you still on the plan. Thanks and God Bless you.
Blanca
