You Are Amazing!

So many people have the same story. I guess we wouldn’t be looking at this diet or all the pages of the website if we weren’t in a similar place. I love having so many people supporting each other. I can remember coaxing a friend to try Medifast and then helping her through the tough first 2 weeks. Now she looks amazing and is reminding me of all the basics.Â

I recently celebrated my one year anniversary with Medifast. I can’t believe it’s been a year since I started Medifast and I am so grateful that I found this amazing wonder-food. I have been able to maintain my weight by eating several small meals throughout the day, always eating breakfast and the continuing to incorporate Medifast Meals in my crazy life.

I thought I would share some of my favorite meals:

Diet Dr. Pepper and a chocolate or vanilla Medifast shake mix – it’s like a root beer float.

Mix orange cream Medifast shake mix, ice and a dollop fat and sugar free cool whip.

Vanilla Medifast shake with cinnamon, vanilla extract, 2 equal packets blended with ice – it’s like drinking a cinnamon roll.

Shake a chocolate Medifast shake with almond extract and 2 equal packets, put in the fridge overnight and grab on the way out the door in the morning.

Mom’s chili - Medifast chili mix, ground turkey, diced tomatoes, chili powder and cumin.

My absolute favorite treat is the oatmeal raisin bar heated up in the microwave for 10 seconds. YUUUUMMMMMM!

Let me know what your favorite meals are. Let’s keep up the good work! And thank you for all your support!

Yay Heather! =) Thank you so much for your blogs. Even tho this is only day two for me, they are really serving as motivation for me! I saw that your starting weight was 191, which was exactly what mine was the first time I started medifast. I’m trying again, this time I started at 183. Hopefully I can get to where you are! Right around 150 is where I used to be comfortable with myself!.

Way to go Heather!!…I have not started Medifast yet as I am seeing my doctor tomorrow and whill take her the info sheet on it. But I can’t wait to start. I am in Canada though and am unable to find a supplier up here, leaving me to order from the States. I liked your ideas to jazz up some of the meals!! Keep up the good work. Take care.

SO MONEY IS TIGHT I AM AFFRAID TO SPEND THE MONEY AND IT WON’T WORK FOR ME.
300.00 A MONTH IS A CAR PAYMENT BUT MY HEALTH MAEN’S MORE TO ME.
AND THE WAY I FEEL AND SEE MY SELF IS DEPRESSING.
I NEED TO LOOSE 60 LB’S.
WILL THIS REALLY WORK????
HELP.

Missie, It really works. I always say - add up how much you spend on your food right now and compare the cost, then add in the benefit and you will see that it’s sooo worth it.

I am in the same boat with Missie. I told my mom that I wanted to go on the Medifast program, and she said not to waste my money, and that the food doesnt taste good. She tried it herself and regretted it. Shes not a very motivated person though, and can see her giving up right away.
I need to lose 30-40 lbs by next October, since Im in a friends wedding- a VERY important day for her. The dresses are strapless and floorlength- VERY upscale, and classy. I weigh about 175 now, and wear a size 12/14. Will this work, and if I do spend the money- will I have to choke down the food?
Concerned- but ready,
Shannon from Mn.

The first week can be hard. You won’t like some of the food at first. After my second week I liked almost all the food and learned my own tweaks to make it taste gourmet. You have to be ready to lose and stick with it.

hi it’s linda and I just started medifast today! I’m so far liking everything I’ve tried. The veggie beef stew was the first thing because I wanted something warm with substance and I liked it. I’m so used to eating much more but I felt satisfied. I’m looking forward to see how week one weight lost comes off. So far so good.

Hi Heather, This is my second day on Medifast and the food didn”t as well as I would have like it to but I’m sticking with the program because I have about 100lbs to lose. I have tried just about every diet out there and still have not lose the weight. Right now a group of empolyees are doing a contest to see how many pound we can lose in a month and the one who looses the most will receive $390.00 and we are all doing our something differt. But I’m not only doing it for the money but for my health as well. Also can you give me more ideas on how to make the food tast a little better.

Day2 for me. I had a chocolate bar for breakfast. I was going to have the maple oatmeal but time got away from me so I just grabbed a bar. I just read Ellen’s comments and I have about 80lbs to loose and it looks like we started about the same time. Please hang in there Ellen! I hope you win the contest at work. I’m going to try the oatmeal for snack and wildrice soup for lunch and a shake. This is all new and I’m excited! Talk to you soon.

Day 2 ended okay. I ended up eating a few mandrine oranges along with all my medifast meals. I made a tuna sandwhich for my husband and had a few chips. but the chips are gone. I’ll be okay to stay on the program. I feel okay with how I did because I’m use to eating so much more than what I did yesterday. I have Day 3 planned. Hot cocco, oatmeal, soup, bar. Salad and chicken. I will do it!

Hi everyone. Day 1 for me. Not bad, not bad at all. I think this will work out good for me. I am off from work until Sunday but, with my schedule the quick meals will be great. The ideas to add flavor are wonderful. Please keep them coming. Wishing everyone a great week.

Hi! This is my 2nd day and right now I am pretty hungry. :) From what I have read, that is normal at the beginning. I will just keep going. The food isn’t bad. I am determined to lose the weight this year. I am passing the mid way mark of the 30’s and don’t want to continue as I have been. I love to read about everyone’s struggles and truimphs. I hope everyone keeps blogging! I will definitely start adding mine. Thanks you guys!!

Hello,
My name is Gloria and I need and would like to lose about 120 pounds. I have tried endless diets without much success. I have tried nutrisystem and disliked the food very much. I disliked the inability to eat other food not in the program. How does medifast compare. I have an active social life and eat out quite a bit. Will I be o.k. with this program? I am seriously considering it. Advise?

Hey everyone! I just wanted to share a success story that works for me. I work FT and am a working mom. On sundays I cook up my protien for the week. I put together 5 to-go dishes with lids, add a fresh or frozen veg and am good to go for the entire week. One week it may be bag salad with eggs and a little chicken or ham and the next week it may be rotiserie chicken and steamed vegies alternating with marinated turkey breast. During the busy work week, I blend a shake in the blender with ice in the morning and grab a glass of water to drink on the way to work. I work at 12. At 2, I go to the coffee machine and get hot h2o for oatmeal. by 4 its lunch time and off to the break room for a great meal. by 6 its time for a bar. At 8, i do pudding or hot cocoa. by the time i get home at night around 10, I have a cappacunio or another shake. Easy, simple, flexable and I am able to stay on the plan with no problem. I do add a chromium suplement to my diet to prevent any sugar crashes that may lead me to the vending machine temptation. Hope this helps all those FT working weight loss people out there. Perfect way to do the 5 in 1 plan!!!

Hey Shannon and everyone who is not sure…go for it. I lost 20 lb my first month even though after I found the program, I had an accident that left me doing walking only from April to May 2007. It is childishly easy to follow and I even had two meals at a restaurant twice the month I lost the 20. Go to my site, click my name, and let me help you back to a healthier state. My male clients love having less love handles too! Good luck and good health to all.
