We’ve Got a Battle on our Hands!

Hey Guys!!!

Just a quick note that I wanted to share with everyone. Lloyd was in the car yesterday listening to a country station out here in LA, and they were talking about weight in Americans. They said that by the year 2015 our society will be 66% overweight and 47% will be overweight AND obese.

Can you believe that? Eight years from now, almost 50% of the people in our country will be OBESE? OMG! Scary!

That just makes what we’re all doing with Medifast even more important. It means we really need to trumpet the great results that we’re having. Make sure you spread the word to friends and family. Hopefully we can put a huge dent in some of those numbers and put Americans back on a healthy track!!

That is a very scary number. It is very sad that all people, most importantly teenagers are either currently overweight or will be like you said. I know growing up nutrition and eating right was never a focus in my home. It is so important for healthy eating to start in the home. That is what I did with my daughter and she makes great food choices today as a teenager and has no weight issue. I encourage all my friends and family to live with a healthy eating lifestyle. I have my brother dieting and he has lost almost 25 pounds.
I look forward to reading about your continued success.
Take care.

The more people are aware of how “FAT” our country is, the sooner we can start doing something about it. What is even sadder is that as the weight of the people increases the cost of caring for the diseases associated with obesity will also rise. What we need is more awareness but we also need to lobby our state and federal elected officials to make it easier for people who are unable to afford programs like Medifast to get the help they need. I am providing a link I found at the Center for Disease Control that shows just how critical it is that our nation takes a real hard look at what obesity will cost us physically and monetarily if we don’t do something soon.

Thank you Kristy for your concern and hopefully more people will become concerned and make it an issue with our local, state, and federal governments.

I’m in agreement with lose4health…This is a very scary statistic, and one that I unfortunately became a part of. However, because of joining Medifast, I am finally DOING something about NOT being one of those statistics anymore. I’m so happy to be part of the Medifast group - it’s the only plan that has ever truly worked for me - and it’s great to have you on board too Kristy. Enjoy your journey, and I hope you meet with all the success that so many before you have found.
… Now I’m going to sound like a fan-geek, but I loved you in Buffy, and one of my favorite lines that you ever spoke in a role would’ve been as Simone in Ferris (I’ve got it memorized, but I won’t type it, as I don’t want to display THAT much geek-i-ness…at least, not yet - haha).
GOOD LUCK Kristy!

I am so happy for you Kristy. It’s so amazing to see how much success you’ve had! I did Medifast a little over a year ago and was amazed at how fast it was and how great I felt. Now I use Medifast everyday to maintain my weight. I just love their bars and shakes!! I became a Health Advisor and am now sharing the fantastic news with everyone I know, and help coach them through their journey to health. I just can’t wait until we see the number of overweight and obese people begin to decrease. Not only will the cost of disease control go down but also everyone will be getting healthier and that’s exciting news. Keep up the fantastic work!
