Hello 2008!
I don’t know about you, but I am holiday’d out! Don’t get me wrong I had a wonderful holiday with my family and extended family absolutely wonderful - I am just kinda glad to get on with the NEW YEAR!
I am sure for many of you the holidays were a bit rough on our Medifast Program. I know for me it was hard to manage at times. When we went out to eat all was good. I could order my Lean & Green no problem. But when you are having dinner at someone’s house and you don’t have control or say on the menu, you have to get creative. LOL! I don’t eat turkey ever and found myself eating it on Christmas because it was the only meat being served and I gotta tell ya, it was really quite good! Might try it again sometime. I also had the Ready Made Shakes shipped out to me in Tennessee where I spent Christmas. That made my life A LOT easier to have them on hand.
Oh my gosh! Here was the BEST part, for New Years we did the San Diego Zoo one day, then Sea World the next and Lego Land the last day! Three Parks in three Day’s with three Children 3 years old and under. Talk about a trip! FUN! And all the junk food everywhere! Again I say, thank God for those Ready Made Shakes! I just threw them in my stroller everyday and away we went.
I feel like I have been so out of touch with you guys since the holidays started. I got SO busy and lots of travel it was hard to keep in touch. I am glad we are back on track and away from all of the holiday temptations. Moving on!
So I got home and weighed myself and found I had gone up 3 pounds. Bummer! Guess that bite of stuffing and the couple of fries I gladly took off Lloyd’s plate and a piece of my Birthday cake did me in on the 3 pounds. That’s OK. Since I have been home the last 2 days and into my normal routine I have already lost those 3 pounds. It was only 3 pounds - nothing to freak out about. But now, I still have a bit more to lose I feel. Although I love the way I am looking and I feel really great I could stand to loose maybe 10 more pounds. I am sure the holiday rush set me off a bit, there is no doubt. I did forget and skip some meals in all the rush. But I am back with a vengeance!!!
I will check back with you in a week and let you know how I have done! And for those of you who really fell of track over the holidays, don’t be discouraged at all. Pick back up and keep on going. You have made progress! Be proud of yourself for being on this program and making Medifast a part of your lifestyle.
