Personal Thoughts Journal Entries

Greetings my Medifast Pals!

I have some new news and realizations that I would like to share!

1. I got a treadmill for the house the other day. I had been relying on getting out with my baby Magnus for some nice long walks and jogs with the jogging stroller but found myself not being able to do it EVERY day because of my busy schedule. So I went ahead and got a treadmill to solve that problem. I love it! I am able to get in an hour workout while I have a load of laundry going and the baby is sleeping! Perfect! It’s PERFECT.

2. I also got the baby a gym membership at a place called “My Gym”, it’s for little kids. They have them all over the country. I figure best to get the little guy started early on health and fitness education and have a lot of fun at the same time! He goes twice a week, once with me and once with Dad.

3. Another thing I would like to share, I have been thinking about this slogan I heard on TV and I have been hearing randomly from people. “Diets don’t work”. I gave this some thought and I honestly had to disagree with this. See, I believe that diets or a healthy weight loss program does work! When you diet or do the Medifast Program and lose weight you get down to the size you are most happy with. The problem occurs when we get there we think that “Oh all of a sudden we are cured! I don’t have to diet anymore!” NOT TRUE! Diets or weight loss programs DO WORK as long as you get to your goal weight and STAY there, and that’s where Medifast really stands out with their Transition and Maintenance Programs. Most weight loss programs just ditch you once you reach your goal, but not Medifast. I will forever as long as I live, have to remain on a healthy diet, I can NOT just eat whatever I want when I want, but Medifast will help me eat right and stay healthy for the rest of my life. It occurred to me that most of us do not realize we need to maintain our eating habits and control our intake always.

I am very grateful that I have this new way of living. I feel fantastic and am a happy as can be. I am forever grateful to Medifast!

Non-Scale Victory

I just wanted to pass along a quick Non-Scale Victory to everyone. So last night I went to this event in Beverly Hills. It had press there, red carpet, photographers, paparazzi, autograph seekers etc. I went with my friends Trish and Joely Fisher, and we had a great time.

The “Hot Mom’s Club” was there too promoting their book. Anyway, these two ladies were standing next to me and they were talking about having babies, then they asked me how old my child was. I said he was a year old, and their eyes bulged out of their heads and they said, “NO WAY! NO WAY you look that good after having a baby a year ago!? How did you lose the weight?” I simply answered Medifast. They said “No Way!! That is awesome, you look amazing!”

I was really happy with that, made me feel great and made me chuckle a bit! I guess those are the moments that make all of the work and dedication worth it. Keep up the good work everyone.

Looking Forward to Summer

I am so happy summer is almost here. I have been craving some good sun and fun in the pool with my family. I’ve been drinking my Momentum Flavor Infusers religiously just to keep my weight where I like it along with my maintenance. A girlfriend of mine started drinking the Flavor Infusers and she lost 5 pounds real quick, she said she really likes it and it is super easy.

Now that I am down to a size 4 I’m really looking forward to my trip to Cancun this year. I picked up a few bathing suits and am feeling quite confident. My whole family is going, it’s a ritual and lots of fun. We have a condo with a big kitchen so it will be easy for me to bring my Medifast Meals to Mexico. I can make whatever I need right there. Then of course go out at night and have my lean and green meal….Yum! Just have to stay away from the tortillas and the chips and dip… lol!

I’ve been exercising religiously too. I take Magnus in the jog stroller and do a walk/run to the park a few miles away from our house. We play for a while on the swings and then jog over to Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods and pick up our fresh veggies and meats. It’s great because Magnus can get out and have fun, plus I get my shopping done!

Well I am off to a meeting now in Hollywood and must go. I want to let you know I am rooting for you and love sharing my day-to-days with you in hopes that I might have some good ideas for you or be able to help in any way. Enjoy your life EVERY day and keep working on a better you and feeling great! GO Medifast!

Happy St. Patty’s Day!

Now don’t be going to any drive thru lookin for a shamrock shake! That would be a BIG……NO NO!! And stay away from the Guinness too!

You just stick to your trusted Medifast shakes and all will be just fine! LOL.

I have been having a good time with people noticing my great weight loss and all the compliments that come with it. It really makes me feel good.

I have even been out swimsuit shopping, usually never fun. But this time since my weight is down I felt good about it and like how I look in my new suits. I am ready and looking forward to summer. This summer I am going to stay on the Momentum by Medifast Flavor Infusers to keep my metabolism boosted. I highly recommend it, and they taste amazing!

Now that the weather has warmed up, I will also be getting more active outside with the baby. Get back into my routine of jog/walking and going to the park. It is SO important to stay active everyday if you can.

Have a great week and keep sticking to it! Be proud of yourself!

Hello 2008!

Hello 2008!

I don’t know about you, but I am holiday’d out! Don’t get me wrong I had a wonderful holiday with my family and extended family absolutely wonderful - I am just kinda glad to get on with the NEW YEAR!

I am sure for many of you the holidays were a bit rough on our Medifast Program. I know for me it was hard to manage at times. When we went out to eat all was good. I could order my Lean & Green no problem. But when you are having dinner at someone’s house and you don’t have control or say on the menu, you have to get creative. LOL! I don’t eat turkey ever and found myself eating it on Christmas because it was the only meat being served and I gotta tell ya, it was really quite good! Might try it again sometime. I also had the Ready Made Shakes shipped out to me in Tennessee where I spent Christmas. That made my life A LOT easier to have them on hand.

Oh my gosh! Here was the BEST part, for New Years we did the San Diego Zoo one day, then Sea World the next and Lego Land the last day! Three Parks in three Day’s with three Children 3 years old and under. Talk about a trip! FUN! And all the junk food everywhere! Again I say, thank God for those Ready Made Shakes! I just threw them in my stroller everyday and away we went.

I feel like I have been so out of touch with you guys since the holidays started. I got SO busy and lots of travel it was hard to keep in touch. I am glad we are back on track and away from all of the holiday temptations. Moving on!

So I got home and weighed myself and found I had gone up 3 pounds. Bummer! Guess that bite of stuffing and the couple of fries I gladly took off Lloyd’s plate and a piece of my Birthday cake did me in on the 3 pounds. That’s OK. Since I have been home the last 2 days and into my normal routine I have already lost those 3 pounds. It was only 3 pounds - nothing to freak out about. But now, I still have a bit more to lose I feel. Although I love the way I am looking and I feel really great I could stand to loose maybe 10 more pounds. I am sure the holiday rush set me off a bit, there is no doubt. I did forget and skip some meals in all the rush. But I am back with a vengeance!!!

I will check back with you in a week and let you know how I have done! And for those of you who really fell of track over the holidays, don’t be discouraged at all. Pick back up and keep on going. You have made progress! Be proud of yourself for being on this program and making Medifast a part of your lifestyle.

Second Round of Medifast Commercials

I am proud to tell you that we finished shooting our new Medifast commercial spots last week. I think they are going to be great! I sure did have fun shooting them and can not wait for you all to see them. We went in a little bit of a different direction this time around and I think everyone is going to love them. We’ll be sure to post them on the site when they’re done.

Well here we are faced with the holidays coming and lots of temptation at various parties and dinners we will be attending. We need to stick together and be strong! We need to only pick up what is lean or green from that dinner table! I keep reminding myself so that I don’t cheat over the holidays.

Now that the weather is getting a bit cooler I have been having a great time putting on all my skinny clothes for this season. I can’t believe or get over how great I feel. It’s amazing that even when you lose just a couple of pounds it changes your attitude and you feel even better than before! I continue to lose every week and am almost at my goal. I hope you can come follow me on this road to success!

Keep in mind the holidays might get to you, but stay strong and you’ll continue to lose the weight!

Stay tuned for the new commercial spots!

Take care and keep on WORKIN IT!

It’s Been a Busy Summer

Hey there my Medifast Buddies,Wow it has been a busy summer! The last 3 weeks I have had Lloyd’s folks visiting from Canada and Lloyd’s two boys came for a visit as well. Not the easiest to stay on track with my program when you have a house full like that. Lots of temptation and lots of distraction.I of course did my best to keep it all together. Every night we would BBQ a Lean & Green Meal. Lloyd’s folks really enjoyed it. They actually lost a few pounds themselves when they were here LOL. Good for them… I am glad I could help!! :)

I am also moving soon… like in the next 2 weeks. I am sure that will disrupt things a bit, but I have a plan. I think it will be easiest for me to use the Ready-To-Drink Shakes on the weekend that I move. I really won’t have access for a whole day to a kitchen so I will just pack lots of shakes to keep myself going. ;)

I got my new HealthMate Blender from Medifast and I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!! Wow is it easy! It’s also a lot of fun to use. I recommend everyone get one if your budget will allow. Actually it’s not that expensive and you will use it ALL the time! The blender comes with a special recipe book and you can make Ice Cream OMG I cannot WAIT to try that! How fun!

I have been getting so many compliments on my weight loss and I gotta tell ya, it really feels great! I am very proud of myself and feel fabulous! I really hope you all are doing great out there - I hope for the best for everyone. Hang in there, be patient and stay focused. I can do it, you can do it, we all can do it together! Now I must go and feed the baby and have a Medifast Meal.

Take care and until the next time…

We’ve Got a Battle on our Hands!

Hey Guys!!!

Just a quick note that I wanted to share with everyone. Lloyd was in the car yesterday listening to a country station out here in LA, and they were talking about weight in Americans. They said that by the year 2015 our society will be 66% overweight and 47% will be overweight AND obese.

Can you believe that? Eight years from now, almost 50% of the people in our country will be OBESE? OMG! Scary!

That just makes what we’re all doing with Medifast even more important. It means we really need to trumpet the great results that we’re having. Make sure you spread the word to friends and family. Hopefully we can put a huge dent in some of those numbers and put Americans back on a healthy track!!
