Down 4.4 Pounds in just 1 week!

I lost 4.4 pounds in my first week back, it’s amazing how quickly the Medifast Program works. I think I may go back to avoiding the scale for a while though. Staying away from the scale allows me to stay in the process and out of the results.

We’re starting to thaw out a bit up here, thank God. It’s been a long hard winter, and I’m excited to get back outside and enjoy the fresh Maine air. That’s it for now, but I’ll be sure fill everyone in more next time.

Love,

Genie

Dear Genie,

Congratulations on the 4.4 pound loss! Wow! That really is great. I’m so happy the program is working for you the way you want it to.

Spring is opening up here for us too. Jonquils are blooming, buds on the dogwood and lilac trees and it feels like a new beginning is happening again. Spring is always an exciting time of year for this reason.

I will be back in pool physical therapy next week and I’m looking forward to it.

And, yes! Stay a way from the scale a bit. I know it really helps me not constantly getting on and off of it. It can sometimes undermine what you are doing for yourself when it doesn’t read how you think it should or want it to.

Keep up the good work.
I send butterflies along with love and respect,
Jhill

Congrats!You are doing great!
I avoid the scale as much as possible. I feel more comfortable by seeing how my clothes fits better that’s how I measure my weight loss. and when one pair of pants get loose I move on down to the next smaller size.

Main weather sounds like Northern New Mexico Weather we are beginning to thaw out here also. This winter has been a cold one I can’t wait for summer.

That’s terrific, Genie! Good idea, avoiding the scale. I have found, personally, that if I just check myself once a week, it is enough. This way I can better gauge the “feel” of where I’m at, as opposed to being a slave to the number I see on the scale. We are MORE than numbers on a scale!!

I am a New England girl, born and raised, but I am currently living away (hopefully temporarily). I actually miss the cold and the snow, so I envy you!! Enjoy the thaw!! ;)

Thank you for sharing the good and the bad. I’ve been on MF for over 2 weeks and did well the first week, and then got this bug going around and gained back all most all the weight. Good to hear getting back in the groove yields good results. Don’t you just live the weather today in central NE??
Be well, and much support going your way.

4.4 pounds! Thats great! You look great no matter what you weigh.

Spring is blooming down South too, except we have flooding from too much rain. I’m just ready for school to be over!

You look terrific and I have to say that I LOVE your new hair style, it really gives you a different look, more business like and although you look great with long hair, I’ve never seen it like this and its cool. I hope when you go back to work it is where you want to be working but your fans sure hope it will be as Laura but that you get treated with the long overdue respect you deserve.

Genie,
That small weight gain was just a bump in the road, don’t let it de-rail you. Now, about me…I must tell you, everyine is asking me what am I doing to lose so much weight! I am down from 185 lbs to 155 lbs since 12/12/07 Then they ask me for my old clothes that are toooo big for me now. It’s a struggle to lose weight when you have an office job. Keep a good attitude, that’s part of the success, you HAVE the tools to get back on track. Consider it a temporary distraction…You look great, so feel great about it too!! I’ll see you in Italy with empty suitcases girl!

Hi Genie,
You look terrific. I know you probably grow tired of these inquiries but is there any truth to the recent buzz about your possible return to GH? Can you give us ANYTHING?
Thanks,
Michael
PS: It truly has been a brutal winter(I’m in NH) but I’m psyched to get up to Ogunquit, ME this summer!
